Wait, are you seeing a shrink? Can't be! You're generally sane... Right?

The garden is beyond the koi pond. [ He points towards the direction before leading--

it isn't really a pond, bu literally a large lake in the shape of a rectangle that leads towards the garden which has the exterior of a bird cage with two large wing corridors. ]

A lot of baby koi this year...

Baby koi? The fish? Did the eggs hatch recently? [ Damien doesn't make a beeline for the garden, but takes his time to appreciate the lake and the fish that reside within it. ]

[ You can also see turtles and tadpoles in the pond, little Damien. Cameron shrugs. ]

Probably. It hasn't been too cold lately, so I guess it isn't that surprising.

Do they hatch a lot at a time? Or only a little?

[ Oh, he thinks there's a little turtle coming this way. He doesn't extend his hand to it, and only watches from where he is. ]

I'm not an expert in fish, but I don't usually see a bunch of baby koi... So I guess they have seasons. [ He, too, sees the turtle...

He kind of wants to stack things onto its shell, but digresses. His status as an adult isn't the only thing that keeps him at bay, it's also the fact there is a duck that suddenly lands on the turtle and quacks loudly. ]

[ Damien looks intrigued with the duck that lands on the turtle and wonders if the turtle can still move. He stares at the turtle with expectations.

WILL IT OR WON'T IT?! ]

[ The turtle moves one step and Cameron only blinks. Of course, he's technically watching Damien watch the turtle/duck.

This is like a documentary he thinks, but he keeps that to himself. ]

[ The documentary of boy meets turtle; duck comes to intervene. What will happen to them?! Stick around for the next--no, that sounds like a drama instead. ]

... It's not heavy for the turtle?

[drawback]

Are you calling the duck fat? [ That's all that comes to mind for Cameron...

This drama is too good to end. ]

No, but there's a limit as to how much we can all carry at once, so...

[ On second thought, Damien looks at the duck.

... It doesn't look fat for him anyway. ]

I think the turtle is fine. [ the turtle is waddling back into the pond with the duck on its shell. ]

There are sometimes ducklings around too.

We shouldn't pick them up, right? Because animals would get human smell on them and that's bad.

[ At least that's what he heard anyway. ]

... What? [ FISJLKSF He knows it's dangerous for the most part, but he has never had it explained like that.

Is that true...? Is mostly what he's wondering. Sure, it makes sense for some animals... ]

I didn't know ducks have that keen smell.

Do they? I mean... they don't always show it outright, but it can sometimes be true for other animals...

I guess we'll never know till we can be ducks ourselves. [ he wonders what kind of life that would be...

It must be horrible.

Okay, back to the garden. ]

[ Damien tries to think about it, but he hits a rut. He eyes the garden... sounds like a good idea to transition now. He stands up properly and goes to toddle towards the garden now. ]

[drawback]

[ There's a nice gates that opens to a literal foliage auditorium-like area. There are even butterflies inside though not that many. The ceiling is also quite high, but are laced with vines. ]

Most of the time this place is a little humid.

For the plants, right? [ He looks around the garden in awe. It really reminds him of a lot of Ruuri's own, except this is in a grander scale. ]

It's so cool...

[drawback]

Yeah. Most plants can't live in the cold, right? [ He waves at the gardeners that are stationed and they greet him as usual. ]

You're not allergic to anything, right?

[unsecure]

I don't think I am... [ In all his imagined life, he doesn't remember being allergic to anything ever. ]

My caretaker also has a garden... or something like that. He also grows a bunch of plants. So... I like seeing these kinds of things. It's kind of neat.

[drawback]

[ Damien and his new life... New adventures... Lack of allergies. Many opportunities.He thinks that's nice! He has a tree in front of his house and stuff, but it's not like he knows how to properly take care of it. To be quite honest, all of these plants look the same to him. ] I'm glad there are signs.

[ How else would he know if this plant is an actual thing or just a common weed?! ] Are any of these in your garden?

Um... Those. Over there. [ Damien points to several plants that are rather spaced out. The common fig, aloe, something that resembles a cactus, and a tree that is rather spiky. ]

Oh wow... That's quite a lot. [ He raises his eyes. Usually no teenager has the patience to do all of that. ]

I think everything I touch dies.

I don't think that's reassuring to hear from anybody.

[ Not that he minds hearing it anyway. ]

Did you have a bad experience with one?

... Actually, not really.

I have a pretty big tree in the front of my house, but my neighbors have been taking care of it for a while. [ He just has never taken care of anything in his own house aside from the class hamster. ]
